CCRM awarded ONR contract for the second time

CCRM has been asked to provide climate change support to ONR’s (Office for Nuclear Regulation) natural hazards expert panel for a further three years. Stephan Harrison will lead the work, and will be the principal point of contact, with support from Professors Mark Macklin, David Smith, Richard Washington and Matt Wilson, all of whom bring their own specialist expertise to this crucial work.  Climate change phenomena are considered to be very  uncertain in their potential importance over the lifetime of new build nuclear sites and ONR recognises the need for experts who are at the forefront of climate change research.  This affects all extreme weather and flooding hazards.    For more information on new build nuclear sites visit www.onr.org.uk
